  • 1990s : Initiation of Qur'an recitation and Islamic sermon gathering by Indonesian citizens in Vienna, Austria

  • 8th June 2004 : The Indonesian Islamic Association in Vienna (WAPENA) was officially established in the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna under the name of "Der Indonesische Islamische Verein"

  • 21st January 2012 : Masjid As-Salam WAPENA (As-Salam Mosque) in Vienna (address: Malfattigasse 18) was officiated by The Ambassador of Indonesian Republic H.E. Mr. I.G.A. Wesaka Puja

  • 23rd November 2013 : WAPENA changed its name to The Indonesian Islamic Association in Austria (prev: Vienna) as it established its affiliation in Innsbruck, Tyrol

  • 20th June 2016 : Masjid As-Salam WAPENA became a Moscheegemeinde and joined as a member of IGGÖ
